Studio MoTTo: "This is Your Class, not Ours"

Since the early 1970’s, Antonius Studios has provided individual and technical instruction in the Glass Arts Field.

Although we have taught classes in various glass techniques, our main focus is now Off-Hand Glassblowing.
We want you to be successful and it is our objective to help you achieve that success.

Private One-on-One Class:

Students have traveled from all over the United States to study with us. Whether a beginner, or you just want to concentrate on specific skills or techniques, we are here to assist you.

This is an in-depth 40 hour, 5 day, continuous class in which the student is required to complete the following forms; tumbler, cylinder, bowl, vase & platter. Students are then introduced to a variety of color applications to correspond with the above forms. In brief, all fundamental aspects of glassblowing are thoroughly covered including studio start-up and shutdown.

WORKSHOPS — "Leave Your Ego at the Door!"

Each year we either teach or sponsor a variety of glass workshops. These classes are usually 5 days in duration with a maximum of 6 students per class. We focus on specific techniques or a "Free for All" anything goes, type of environment.

These Workshops encompass a lot of demonstrations and hands-on work. They are announced either by word of mouth, flyers, or glass articles, or you can stay up to date via our facebook page.

Some of our Instructors or Guest Demonstrators have been (L-R); Charlie Correll, Randy Walker, Kevin "Rags" Ragaller, Jim Mongrain, Ed Schmid, Brian Corr, Dave Klein, George Kennard, Sam Perry, Jim Antonius, Jordan Ford & Nate Macomber.

Antonius Studios

Specialist Classes

Frequently, glassblowers do not have the time or funds to travel to specific institutions (Corning, Pilchuck, Penland, etc) to take classes or workshops to enhance their blowing skills. If you are interested in a specific class or techniques, contact Antonius Studios, and we will attempt to put it together for you. Just obtain the necessary students, usually a maximum of 6, and we will assist you in organizing and sponsoring a class at your studio.
